The 2026/27 season opens with a heavyweight fixture, as FC Porto host Benfica at the Estádio do Dragão on Sunday 20 September, a match commonly known as the Clássico and one of the most-watched fixtures in Portuguese football. On the same weekend, Sporting CP welcome Arouca to the Estádio José Alvalade, and Braga travel to the Azores to face Santa Clara at the Estádio de São Miguel.
