FIFA sells World Cup tickets in phased official sales: random selection draws, first-come-first-served windows, and last-minute releases. Once those windows close, verified resale is the main remaining source.

Ticket categories run Cat 1 (premium halfway-line) through Cat 4 (host-country residents). On resale, Cat 4 tickets become fully transferable. Hospitality is sold separately and includes catering plus a premium seat.
